As a member of the Cree Nation of Wemindji, Tom is a dedicated advocate for sport and recreation within the Indigenous community. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education and a Master’s in Human Kinetics with a focus on Sport Management. Tom brings valuable experience from his previous role as the Director of Sports and Facilities for the Cree Nation of Wemindji, where he successfully oversaw the implementation of various programs and events. This role deepened his commitment to fostering inclusive sports opportunities for Indigenous youth.
With a strong emphasis on strategic planning and community engagement, Tom is dedicated to developing accessible programs that promote active participation and overall health. As a Program Coordinator for EISRA, he aims to strengthen community connections and support initiatives that empower individuals through sport.
Tom envisions combining his passion for sport with EISRA's mission, making a positive impact on the well-being and sport development within Indigenous communities throughout the region.
